Scope and accountability
This Policy applies to the Conquer Ascendant website, account system, launcher, game realm, and official support or community services. The Conquer Ascendant operators are responsible for the personal information handled for this project. This Policy should be read with the Terms of Service and Realm Rules.
Information we collect
We may collect the username and email you provide; password-derived credentials that cannot be read back as your password; invitation, verification, recovery, and agreement records; account and character information; login and service activity; device, request, and security information used for rate limiting and abuse prevention; beta application details such as your handle, testing interests, experience, and availability; and information you choose to send in support requests, bug reports, or official community channels.
Why we use it
We use information to review and contact potential playtesters, create and recover accounts, confirm ownership, operate and synchronize characters, provide the website and realm, send essential account messages, diagnose problems, prevent cheating and abuse, enforce the Terms and Rules, protect players and staff, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use account information for unrelated advertising.
Consent and necessary information
Registration asks for express agreement to the account-related collection and uses described here. Some information is necessary to create, secure, and operate an account. You may withdraw consent by contacting us, subject to legal or operational requirements, but we may then be unable to continue providing the account or service. New, unrelated uses will require appropriate notice and consent.
Cookies and technical records
The website uses an essential sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. Security and request records may also be used to limit automated attempts, investigate failures, and defend the service. We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioural advertising.
Safeguards
We use access controls, password-derived credentials, limited public-system access, verification links, rate limits, and operational safeguards appropriate to the service. No online service can promise perfect security. Keep your password private and tell staff promptly if you believe your account or email has been compromised.
Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including operating active accounts, resolving disputes, maintaining security and audit records, meeting legal obligations, and preserving limited backups. When information is no longer needed, we aim to delete or anonymize it safely.
Your choices and access rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw consent, or request deletion where applicable. We may need to confirm account ownership before fulfilling a request, and some records may be retained when law, security, fraud prevention, or an active dispute requires it.
Young players
Registration is not intended for children under 13. A player under the age of majority where they live must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that information was collected from a child who could not provide meaningful consent, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Questions, requests, and changes
For a privacy question or request, reply to a Conquer Ascendant account email or contact staff through the official community channel from which you received access. We may update this Policy as practices or legal requirements change. The effective date and version will be updated, and material changes will receive appropriate notice or renewed consent.
